Arabic Mehndi Tradition

Mehndi (Henna) has been famous in the east for centuries. At that time it was used to color gray hair and also in the hands of brides at marriages. But over time its use has become more modernized and is used for various different occasions.

Mehndi also makesĀ  for a fashion call. It can provide a nice color and beautiful designs, not only on hands but various regions have their own styles such as; Arabic Mehndi, Indian Mehndi Design and Mehndi style etc. Everyone is different, but one thing common, they all have is that each color offer beautiful unique designs and patterns on the hands and feet.

Another Arabic Mehndi tradition is where people can use it as a balm in a cup of Mehndi add a cup of boiling water with tea leaves (or use tea bags). Then put the boiled water into tea Mehndi and add some oil (olive oil or Mustard oil) in the Mehndi mixture and mix them all. If the mixture is thick, then add tap water to make it thin. Pour this mixture only enough to use and after leaving it out for some time use this Mehndi mixture in your hair, leave for 4-5 hours, then wash hair with shampoo. After that you will feel the difference, your hair will feel fresh, not only outside but inside, they breathe. You can use this natural and traditional arabic mehndi hair treatment every 2-3 months.

Mehndi has many uses now a days, mostly due to the wedding traditions observed in the South East Asia. In some families, the function of mehndi before the actual wedding is usually accompanied with a series of functions such as Mayoh, Dholk and Sangeet. All these functions are mehndi function. The Mehndi function is where women and girls apply mehndi on their hands and feet and enjoy with music and dances. In particular, the beauty of mehndi is worth seeing is on the bride. Mehndi patterns are significantly different for brides, making it an important place for all other guests. Bride applies Mehndi in arms hands completely covered with design.
